KNUBA is expanding opportunities for education and professional adaptation of Ukraine’s defenders. A cooperation memorandum has been signed between the university and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

“For the university, the veteran track is a response to one of the country’s main challenges. We help veterans acquire a new specialty and return to civilian life with up-to-date knowledge and skills,” emphasized Rector Oleksii Dniprov.

According to veteran and Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs Yuliia Kirillova, veterans and members of their families can obtain a master’s degree at the university free of charge, get another specialty on the basis of a previously earned degree, and study at the colleges of KNUBA in accordance with Government Resolution No. 432.

She added that the university provides the Ministry with expert support in shaping pre-project decisions, in particular on creating veteran infrastructure.

An example is the development of the concept of “Veteran Spaces” – multifunctional centers supporting veterans and their families. A number of the university’s departments and the Institute of Reintegration, Rehabilitation and Professional Development of Veterans «Architecture of Resilience».

As a reminder, KNUBA students who are children of veterans can receive compensation for a year of study.
