On December 8, an introductory meeting took place between the leadership of the Institute of Veterans “Architecture of Resilience” and a volunteer and author of the educational project Masa School. They agreed on the principles of further cooperation and arranged open lessons for Japanese schools. This will make it possible to convey to students and teachers in Japan information about the war, about how Ukrainian children live in wartime, what challenges veterans face and, in general, about the real state of affairs in Ukraine. A separate block was devoted to the key projects of the KNUBA Institute of Veterans and the Veterans Cluster of Ukraine (VCU). These are initiatives that are already developing and scaling up:
• REconstruction & REcovery Hub (RE2Hub) – an engineering and educational platform for involving veterans and young people in reconstruction projects.
• Growth Business School – preparing veterans, their families and internally displaced persons to launch and manage a business.
• Retraining and rehabilitation programs at KNUBA and partner universities.
• RE:Veterans Platform and Veteran Voices & Action Platform – quarterly events that amplify veterans’ voices and integrate them into the processes of the country’s recovery.
• Inclusivity and barrier-free accessibility projects implemented together with partners.
• International communication and soft-power programs in which Ukraine’s narrative is shaped through the stories of veterans, their families and recovery teams.
The meeting recorded a shared understanding – it is necessary to build up the international educational presence and strengthen communication about Ukraine through high-quality, structured content for young people and partner organizations.
