Kyiv has already concluded 60 online contracts for summer outdoor seating areas, and the installation of terraces has begun in several districts of the city

The service makes it possible to respond quickly to seasonal needs and creates favorable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

Kyiv has introduced a digital service for obtaining permits for summer and seasonal outdoor seating areas near restaurants and cafés. Entrepreneurs can go through the entire process online — from submitting an application to signing a contract. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), Kyiv City Council deputy (UDAR faction) Valentyn Mondriievskyi

The first 60 online contracts have already been concluded, and the installation of summer terraces has begun in several districts of the capital. Nearly 200 more establishments are at the final signing stage. This testifies to high demand for the service among businesses.

“We see a real demand for transparent and fast digital solutions. Entrepreneurs actively use the service, as it allows them to plan the season without delays and excessive bureaucracy. This means that the digitalization of city services works to the benefit of business and Kyivans,” said Valentyn Mondriivskyi.

The data confirm the effectiveness: the path from submitting an application to signing the contract and starting installation has shortened significantly. As a result, the city gets legal, safe, and aesthetically pleasing summer terraces, while entrepreneurs get a clear and fast tool for preparing for the season.

“The service is already proving its convenience. The entire process takes place online, which saves time and allows for a faster start. Entrepreneurs receive clear feedback, and in case of refusal, they immediately understand the reasons and can promptly resubmit documents. Notifications are also provided at every stage, making it easy to track the status of the application,” commented Yevhen Komarov, lawyer at Global Law and the Ukrainian Restaurant Association, Ambassador of the Veterans Cluster of Ukraine.

The service allows for a quick response to seasonal needs and creates comfortable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. A permit for a summer outdoor seating area can be obtained remotely — without visiting institutions. The service's interface has been adapted in accordance with the principles of digital accessibility, which simplifies the use of the service for various groups.

You can submit an application and conclude a contract on the Kyiv Services Portal: https://portal.kyiv.digital/service/maidanchyk-kharchuvannia.

By the way, today the capital's authorities presented a unified open data platform.
